The findings

20 to 50% of the energy consumed by industry is released as waste heat. Many solutions already exist to recover high-temperature waste heat, and today's electricity is partly produced from this waste heat.

However, no technology existed to recover heat between 60 and 150°C — 30% of the waste heat generated by industry.
